Moving on UP!!

Last week we decided to try Ellie out on her big girl bed, I was a little hesitant and didn't think she would stay. Boy was I wrong. We had to peek in a few times, because who doesn't like looking at books in the dark! About 20 minutes later she was zonked and didn't move the rest of the night. However, nap time was a bit more tricky and she had to go back in the crib the first two days, but now she goes right in and plays for a minute and eventually falls asleep.

It was so funny Sunday after church she came ho
me, took off her dress, headed right for her bed, and 2.5 hours later she emerged. Guess she knows what is suppose to happen Sunday afternoon:) I sure miss the few extra minutes in the morning and after her nap before I went to get her in the crib. But now I am greeted by her smiling face bright and early every morning. The last few nights Cooper has slept until 5am so we decided to was time for a change. Cooper has hated his bassinet since the first day we brought him home. He instantly wakes up whenever you put him in. We tried putting a pillow in it and that helped for awhile. Now he insists on sleeping on his tummy and only sleeps in the middle of our bed. I know I said I would never do it, but a person needs sleep!! Last night we put him in the crib, since Ellie is done with it and he slept so peacefully!! He woke up once for a bottle at about 3 and then went right back into bed. It was so nice sleeping without worrying about rolling over on him!! I guess he just loves the comfort of a soft mattress and not the confinement of the bassinet.

My kids are getting so big so quickly, next up learning to roll over & the dreaded Potty Training:)

Takin a Break

Last week we took a break from unpacking and headed down to Sunny Las Vegas. However, before we left Ellie helped Grandma wash all the outdoor furniture. And Cooper got his 2 month shots:(Once in Vegas we enjoyed a few of the following things:
Ryker came to play at Grandma's house one day.We went to play at Rykers and then headed to Aunt Amelia's & Uncle Shane's house for a little swim party.
I love this pic, it looks like she has 4 arms!!Don't you love those chunky cheeks!!!

Thanks everyone we had a great time and can't wait for Ryker & Aunt Kellie to come visit next week

A Work IN Progress:)

We have been in our house a few weeks now and I know some of you want to see some pics, so, here they are!
Here is Ellie's room, we still need to hang pics and add a little paint on the walls. I am thinking maybe some stripes??
The living room
The kids bathroom, but Ellie would rather bathe in mine

Cooper is 2 months

I feel like I haven't posted to much about my little buddy so here is what he is up to. Last week Cooper had his 2 month check-up. He is getting to be such a big boy. He weighed in at 12lbs.8oz. and was 23 inches long. Right now he still spends many hours sleeping a day, he continues to love his swing, he is beginning to smile up a storm when he hears our voices, and he loves holding up his head and looking around. He even likes TUMMY TIME:)He loves to be snuggled, especially at night, and he HATES sleeping alone, but he LOVES the middle of our bed. I don't know what the little man is going to do when he moves to his crib:(

Handy Manny, I mean Ellie

For the last few weeks we have been working on house projects. The other night Brady was installing a new kitchen faucet and Ellie decided to help out. I thought it was pretty funny so I grabbed the camera to document her help:)
The first day we were in our house, we were out running errands and Ellie missed her nap. Later, she had been playing downstairs and I hadn't seen her for awhile. Well, when I went to find her, she was passed out downstairs on the couch. I promise I will have some pics of the house this week, maybe all the boxes will be gone by then!!
