Celebrity Look Alike

Thanks Lesley, Brady and I had so much fun playing with this the other night!

Sleepless Nights

For the most part Ellie is a great little sleeper, usually waking up between 3-5 for a snack or sleeping all the way through the night. However, once a month or so she wakes up screaming after only being asleep a few hours. Well it has started again. I think last night it was teeth, she wouldn't let us go near her mouth and when i put her on my shoulder she would just chomp away. I was sure to see teeth this morning but alas nothing! Any suggestions would be great for helping with this i still have what 36 teeth to go!!

ScrapFest 2008

This last weekend I attended my first scrapbooking event. My cousin and some friends put it together and since having Ellie I have wanted to get into scrapping. Last week I spent so much time choosing and sending pictures to WalMart and thinking about what I wanted my pages to look like. I thought I was prepared, until my sister, Kellie, came. She had layouts printed out with the pictures in with the pages. So after some revamping and searching the internet, thanks to pebbles in my pocket, for many great ideas. I was ready to head to the store with layouts in hand. I felt quite successful after my many hours this weekend and finished about a dozen pages. My Mom, sister, and a few Aunts were down to help babysit the babies so that helped a ton. I sill have a few pages I want to finish so my stuff is scattered about the kitchen table so I can remember to do it. Anyway it was a great weekend and fun to have a little alone time to hang out with just the girls.

Happy 6 mo. B-Day

Ellie just turned 6 months old today. It is unbelievable that she is that old already, the time has flown by. Ellie has accomplished quite a bit in the first few months of her life. She can already sit up by herself and she is rocking about I think she will be crawling before we know it. She is getting better at eating cereal and pureed foods, she hates peas but love all the orange foods. We tried feeding her applesauce and its a little sweet for her still. SHe has also food her voice and loves to talk all the time. SHe can also sit in a shopping cart and loves to chat and smile at every stranger she sees. Kellie tells me that she will be the little girl that stops and talks with everyone and I think I have to agree. It is amazing how much joy she has brought into our lives and how lucky we are.

Happy 2008!!

Every year for New Years my family goes up to my brother in laws condo in Brian Head, this year was no exception. We headed up to Brian Head on Saturday afternoon. We were with the first group to get there and inside was freezing. After getting everything turned on Brady and 2 of my nephews decided they were hungry and headed back to Cedar for Bajios. My sisters and I and the 2 babies went upstairs and tried to stay warm in one of the bedrooms. My brother, Shane, and his family arrived awhile later. By then it seemed to be getting warmer so we headed downstairs to start dinner. Well as soon as we started hot water started streaming out from under the dishwasher. When we first got there the water didn't work in the kitchen and we weren't sure what was wrong, well the pipe must have frozen the hot water circulating in the pipe unfroze and started leaking out of the wall. Good thing we were downstairs and all that flooded was the kitchen. A few trips up and down the stairs to turn the water off and we got the problem under control. Lucky Shane was there or I don't know what would have happened. The plumber came and fixed it that night. It was kind of an exciting start to the weekend. Brady had missed a lot with that short time to town.
Brady woke up the next morning with a horrible head cold and had to leave that morning, we were sad to see him go, but halfway down the hill he was already feeling better.
The rest of the weekend was quite relaxing. I spent most of the time playing with Ellie and her cousin Ryker, watching movies & football, and playing board games. My nephew Brady and I killed everyone in a great game of Cranium.
New Year's Eve was quiet and Ellie went to bed long before the New Year, but we had a great weekend with the fam.

Ellie's 1st Christmas

I was so excited to celebrate Christmas this year. Ellie has made everything so much more exciting and Christmas was no exception. We woke up a little later than usually around 7:30, thats when Ellie decided to wake up and then we headed upstairs to open our stockings. Ellie wasn't to sure what was going on and as we opened gifts she was much more interested in sucking on bows and eating the paper than many of her gifts. She did make out pretty well for her first Christmas and got a Bee Bop Band Drum with a bunch of different rattles, The Jungle Book, a Tickle Me Elmo, and a few new outfits. All the rattles went straight to her mouth and she was not quite sure about Elmo.

Another great addition for Christmas was the snow, it was our first family white Christmas, me being from Vegas we didn't see a lot of snow. After opening gifts and a nap, we went out to play in the snow. Ellie loved it until we got back inside and she figured out she couldn't feel her hands anymore.

Tears @ Claire's

A few days before Christmas Brady brought up getting Ellie's ears pierced, he was going to do it without telling me until a few people at work told him that wouldn't be such a good idea. I didn't care either way as long as I didn't have to do it. So while we were up North for Christmas, Brady mentioned it to his sister and nieces and the next thing I know we were on our way to the mall. Of course this was on Christmas Eve so along with all the last minute shoppers we ended up at University Mall. Brady took the responsibility and held Ellie while Holly, Brady's sister, was the professional photographer. Ellie did pretty good, however after the first ear she let out the loudest screech and everyone in the store turned and stared at us, I rethought the decision for a second, feeling like a bad Mom. I think Brady may have even shed a tear for Ellie. But by the time the whole thing was done Ellie was fine a few minutes later and had totally forgotten about the whole experience by the time we got to the car.
